Gaosheng Yang is currently the Coordinator of Recruitment and Community Outreach with the University of Minnesota Duluth. Gaosheng has been an active member with MnACC for the past two years, and is currently serving as a Tri-chair of Programs for MnACC.
Gaosheng was born and raised in the East St. Paul neighborhood in Minnesota. Gaosheng is of the first generation in her family to attend college and receive a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in Communication Studies. Gaosheng is passionate about helping under-represented students access higher education. She believes that everyone has the choice to attend college or not, education is a right not a privilege. She also enjoys giving back to her Hmong community through service and volunteer.
